The story behind the headlines is sometimes much different. Let me tell you the story about this recent closing.
The seller came to me after a beloved family member passed away unexpectantly. She was left in charge of his trust as the successor trustee and was located out of the area and was beyond stressed out when faced with the daunting task of emptying the home and getting it market ready. Our mutual friend, Charlene referred her to me and I immediately went to work.
First, I recruited my amazing Estate Sale gal who was able to get the home organized and get all the personal belongings sold. When the Estate sale finished, it was time to get it deep cleaned, I handled it all.
Throughout the process of getting the home ready the seller was very clear she wanted a quick, as is sale on the home. Knowing this, I then got pre-listing inspections done since without inspections it is fairly challenging to find a buyer who will agree to an as-is sale and actually keep their word. Once we had all that completed, we got the photography done and put the home on the market.
This home received 4 offers in only 4 days on the market and just as the seller requested- it sold in it’s as-is condition and for above asking price!
Not all of my real estate sales are fun experiences for my clients, sometimes it is a sad, stressful situation that they did not ever predict they would be in, and it’s those sales that I feel I really help the most. I am a problem solver through and through and I will not rest until I get my clients the results they are after.
Selling a home after a sudden loss is scary and unexpected terrority, I am so glad I was able to help this family get past it.
